Kurt is a classically trained hairdresser with over 30 years’ experience in the hair and beauty industry. His love of hair began at the age of 6, when he decided with certainty that he was going to be a hairdresser. Having honed his craft over many years, Kurt managed a number of salons where he was head of staff training.
Kurt opened his first salon at Castle Cove in 2001, which was a finalist for Most Outstanding Hairdresser in the Local Business Awards. His second salon was located at Seaforth, before he took time out to be a stay-at-home dad. When it was time to change gears, he opened a highly successful award-winning men’s grooming studio, before his love of hair design lead him back to Seaforth, where he was again a finalist for Most Outstanding Hairdresser in the Local Business Awards for two successive years. He now brings his years of experience to Whitehouse Hair Skin Wellness, which he owns and manages with his wife Melanie.
Kurt prides himself on his ability to truly understand a client's wants and needs: designing each hairstyle to suit their hair type, facial features, personality and lifestyle. His exceptional customer service and eye for detail have ensured a loyal following of clients for nearly two decades.
Melanie is a media professional, with an extensive, award-winning career spanning over 30 years. Her drive to succeed in the cut-throat world of advertising saw her become one of Australia’s youngest Media Agency owners at the age of 29. Her clients included some of the biggest brands in the global arena, including the Pepsico Group and Mel Gibson’s Icon Films. She is widely regarded for her professionalism and high levels of customer service, going above and beyond to deliver the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Now a mother to two young children, Melanie brings her exceptional business, advertising and client service skills to Whitehouse Hair Skin Wellness. She strongly believes in the wide ranging benefits of true quality hair and wellness services, and takes great pride in managing the salon to ensure a seamless, relaxing and holistic result for clients.

She has a professional and confident approach to her work, with what can only be described as a natural instinct for aesthetics. With a focused and diligent approach to hairdressing, you will feel safe in her hands and assured that she will deliver exactly what she discusses with you. Her client service skills are excellent, and Charlotte provides quality time in all hair consultations with her clients. She is competent and innovative in all areas of hairdressing, from cutting & styling to all colour techniques.

Leigh Windus has had a passion for skin and beauty therapy from an early age. The women in her family believed that looking good and feeling good went hand in hand, and taught her the importance of maintaining healthy, glowing skin.
Leigh originally had a full-time career in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years, but knew that one day she would follow her dream of becoming a Qualified Beauty Therapist. She started by completing various short courses, then set up a home salon where she would treat family and friends, but her client list quickly grew due to her commitment and professionalism.
After having her beautiful daughter, Leigh continued to look after her growing clientele. She then took the opportunity to officially formalise her training by completing an intensive course at the Australian Academy of Beauty Therapy. Then, when Whitehouse opened last year, Leigh became a client for both hair and facial treatments. Using the Luzern products helped Leigh to finally stabilise her persistent Rosacea, something her Dermatologist was unable to do without deeply invasive Laser treatments. The clinically tested Luzern product range also appealed to Leigh’s pharmaceutical background and the outstanding results spoke for themselves.
Now that her daughter is starting ‘big school’ next year, we are proud to welcome Leigh to the Whitehouse team as our Skin Health Therapist. She will deliver results based treatments and use her experience and energy to help her clients achieve their best skin yet.
